[+] Elias Vamvakas, Chairman

Mr. Vamvakas is currently the Chairman and CEO of Greybrook Capital a private equity firm that invests in and operates private and public companies.

Mr. Vamvakas is also Chairman OccuLogix (NASDAQ/OCCX, TSX OC), a bio-sciences corporation, whose focus is the development and commercialization of treatments for age-related eye diseases.

Prior to being Chairman, Mr. Vamvakas lead the acquisition of the company and as CEO took the company public in 2003 raising more than $100M to complete its FDA trials and support its commercialization strategy.

Prior to OccuLogix, Mr. Vamvakas co-founded TLCVision (NASDAQ/TLCV, TSX/TLC) in 1993 where he served as President and CEO until 2003 and until recently as Chairman. During Mr. Vamvakas' tenure as CEO, TLC’s revenues grew to more than $300,000,000 as TLC opened or acquired more than 100 laser eye clinics, over 200 mobile laser sites, more than 250 mobile cataract locations and several ambulatory surgery centers. In the process TLC became the largest eye care service provider organization in North America. TLC's stock, listed on the TSX and NASDAQ since 1996, appreciated to over $1 billion during his tenure.

Mr. Vamvakas is actively involved in the management and operations of several Greybrook companies and serves as Chairman of Brandimensions Inc., Nulogx Inc. and Science with Vision.

Mr. Vamvakas has received many management awards from industry and his peers.

  • Mr. Vamvakas was named to ''Canada's Top Forty under Forty'' in 1996. An award that recognizes the top 40 Canadians under the age of 40. In 2005 he was also voted “best of the best” by his peers.
  • In 1999 he was named Ernst & Young's Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year for Innovative Partnering and Entrepreneur of the Year for Ontario in the Emerging Category.
  • In 2000, Mr. Vamvakas was recognized by Profit Magazine for managing Canada's fastest growing company (TLC) with over 25,000% growth over 5 years.

[+] Roberto Drassinower, CEO and President

As President and CEO, Mr. Drassinower is responsible for overseeing BrandProtect’s strategic direction and growth as the leader in online reputation management.

Mr. Drassinower brings to this role extensive leadership experience and the skills to drive this growing company.

Prior to joining BrandProtect, Mr. Drassinower founded DME Consulting Inc., a boutique management-consulting firm that advised on several acquisitions with aggregate revenues north of $200 million.

He also served as the CEO of SoftQuad Software Ltd., a company he acquired through a management buy-out in November 1998. SoftQuad went public in March of 2000 and was sold to Corel Corporation two years later.

Previously, Mr. Drassinower was president of Carolian Systems, a network management software solutions company.

[+] Tom Davidson

Mr. Davidson has an extensive entrepreneurial background, having started several companies from scratch including Speedy Printing Centers with 32 locations across Canada.  He currently is the owner and CEO of Nisim International a hair care products manufacturer with distribution in over 30 countries.

Mr. Davidson has a strong understanding of ecommerce and search engine optimization resulting from his success with Nisim International.  Mr. Davidson sits on the board of several private companies and one public company Synergex, a 200 million dollar logistics business specializing in video game distribution.

Mr. Davidson also serves on several charitable and philanthropic boards

[+] Joe Canavan

Mr. Canavan has over 20 years of leadership experience in the wealth management industry and is the current CEO of Assante Wealth Management, Canada’s leading provider of integrated wealth management solutions. As vice president and director, national sales at Fidelity, he helped grow $60 million in assets into $6 billion in four years and launched GT Global (Canada), which became the fastest-growing mutual fund company in Canadian history. Prior to joining Assante, Mr. Canavan was the president and CEO of Synergy Asset Management which was acquired by CI Financial in October 2003. He has won many industry awards and was named 'Person of Influence of the Decade' at the Canadian Investment Awards. Mr. Canavan is a member of the board of directors at the National Ballet of Canada and The Children's Aid Foundation.

Mr. Folk is the co-founder and managing general partner at Jefferson Partners, a technology venture capital firm. He has served on the boards of numerous private and public companies and has been instrumental to the success of Jefferson portfolio companies including Quack.com (acquired by AOL), iStar (IPO, acquired by PSINET), Wescam (IPO, acquired by L-3 Communications), Applied Terravision (acquired by CGI). Mr. Folk currently serves on the board of directors of TrueContext Corp.; Avotus Corporation; BorderWare Technologies Inc. and Natural Convergence Inc. He also co-founded, and is chair of eMagine, a national philanthropic initiative aimed to raise $1 billion in commitments from the entrepreneurial and investment community over the next decade.

[+] Ken Nickerson

Mr. Nickerson is the founder and CEO of iBinary LLC., a private technology research and investment firm. He recently completed both investing in and operating as CEO of OpenCola Inc., a collaborative search engine company (sold to OpenText Inc.), and CTO of ClearPulse Inc., a private research company developing non-invasive medical technologies and The DocSpace Company (sold to CriticalPath Inc.) along with several other start-up organizations. Mr. Nickerson also served as general manager of the Microsoft Network (MSN) in Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation, and was responsible for all e-commerce and consumer activities in Canada. Mr. Nickerson is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM).

[+] Dennis Walsh

Mr. Walsh is currently working with General Motors, providing technology recommendations and strategies for its online environment. He was most recently with CAS (Class A Systems) where he offered senior technical and business management consulting services to one of the largest EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Systems) companies in the world. He has held several senior executive positions within the information technology field including, VP and CTO of OnStar; CTO of General Motors Center of Excellence; VP and CIO of Entergy Corporation; and several other senior level positions for J.I. Case, Del Monte Foods International and R.J.Reynolds.

Most recently, Mr. Walsh served on the advisory boards of Contivo, Moonlight Systems, 3PAR, Verari, Star View, Jump Start Wireless, Fox Technologies, Inrix and Scalent. He has also served on the advisory boards of AT&T, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Dell, Compaq, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Lotus, Tibco, Terabeam and Data Channel.
